I spent twelve years performing aerial, pole and contortion across Australia and overseas. I have been injured, I am hypermobile, and I have been treated by hundreds of therapists. That is why I trained — so I could be the one who actually understands.
From gymnastics floor to massage table.
I hold a Diploma of Remedial Massage and a Certificate IV in Swedish and Relaxation Massage, a Certificate IV in Pilates, and I am a qualified stretch coach. Before any of that I was a gymnastics coach — eighteen years ago now — and since then I have taught circus, aerial apparatus, pole and contortion to beginners and professionals.
What that background gives you is a therapist who knows what a body under real load feels like from the inside, who can tell a massage problem from a movement problem, and who will give you the drills to fix the second kind.
I treat clients at my Emerald clinic room every Wednesday, with mobile treatments available on request across the Dandenong Ranges.
